AC Cobra - a sports car, created in cooperation with the English company AC Cars and Carroll Shelby, originally produced based on the slightly modified Ace car body. They used powerful 4.2 liter V8 engines from Ford (later 4.7 liters), the Jaguar E-Type differential and disc brakes on the front and rear wheels. Finally, the production of this model was discontinued (based on Ace) in 1965 with the introduction of the 427 model.

In 1964, the Shelby Daytona Coupe version won the GT + 3.0 Category in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

AC Cobra 427 or Shelby Cobra 427 was created in 1965 by using a V8 engine with a capacity of 6989 cm³ and power of 425 hp. It used, among others, aluminum body and thoroughly rebuilt the suspension components. A characteristic element of this vehicle is a large air intake for the engine (radiator) allowing intensive cooling of a powerful engine. Many replicas of this famous car have been made around the world, including Weineck Cobra 780 cui Limited Edition, with a 12.78 l displacement.
