Bugatti
The Bugatti company was founded by Ettore Bugatti. He was born on September 15, 1881 in Milan as a descendant of an Italian artistic family; he died on August 21, 1947 in Paris. He is considered the inventor of a race car with a supercharged (compressor) engine. His cars won (or held top positions) in almost all major races before World War II.
The production plants were located in Molsheim (Alsace). The Bugatti company produced a total of about 2,500 cars, many of which have survived until today. The most models were Type 57 cars with an 8-cylinder engine - 750 units.
