Brilliance
The company was founded in June 1992. In 2003, Brilliance signed an agreement with BMW for the production of sedans in China. In 2000, the company presented its first own model, simply named Zhonghua, designed with the help of Italian design studio Ital Design. Later, SY7200 was added to the name. The model was sold exclusively in China. Export was also planned, but ultimately the company abandoned these plans. The production of Zhonghuy SY 7200 was completed in 2006. Two years earlier, in 2004, the company presented its second model - initially named Zunchi M1, based on the SY 7200 model. Its export began in 2005. The model hit Europe in 2006, initially under the name Zhonghua M1. From 2007, the model is called Brilliance BS6. In 2008, the model was lifted. Brilliance is the first Chinese company that presented its models in Europe. At the Leipzig showroom, the company presented its third and second model offered in Europe - the Brilliance BS4 sedan named in China Zhonghua Junjie M2. In 2005, a combi variant was presented at the showroom in Beijing. The fourth model of the brand and at the same time one of the first Chinese coupé made its debut at the Beijing showroom in 2007. The model was called Brilliance BC3 and in China it was called Zhonhgua Junjie M2 Coupe. The export of the model to Europe began in July 2009. Half a year later, at the Shanghai showroom, the fifth and so far last model of the Chinese brand - the compact Brilliance BS2 named in China Zhonghua Junjie FRV - made its debut. A variation of the sedan was presented at the Shanghai showroom. In 2008, the company offered its models in China under the Huachen Zhonghua brand. Brilliance cars are currently assembled in North Korea, Egypt and Russia. Brilliance plans to offer its models in the United States from 2010. In the future, assembly is also not excluded. The company has been listed on the New York Stock Exchange since 2007.
