Under the bonnet lurks a powerful 4.0 litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine that produces formidable torque [660 Nm from 1,700 rpm], effortlessly propelling the Flying Spur from 0-60 mph in a startling 4.9 seconds [0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 secs] with a top speed of 183 mph [295 km/h].
You also have the option to drive it manually, with gear changes made at the tap of a finger thanks to the knurled gearshift paddles on the steering wheel. Add Bentley’s renowned all-wheel drive coupled with a smooth 8-speed Quickshift transmission, and this means the Flying Spur V8 delivers exhilarating performance matched with exceptional sophistication.
The Bentley Flying Spur V8 offers a leaner, yet still luxurious alternative to its more powerful W12 sibling, with a top speed of 183 mph (295 km/h) and lower emissions of 254 g/km. This impressive performance comes with a fuel range of 520 miles (840 km), thanks to the highly efficient engine that includes cylinder deactivation to save fuel, along with intelligent thermal management and electrical recuperation.
Designed alongside the car at Crewe, the Mulliner Driving Specification includes additional options for both exterior and interior. These include 20” 6 tri-spoke alloy wheels with striking Graphite and diamond turned finish, luxurious diamond-quilted seats and door panels with perforated hide. The sporting feel is further enhanced with a tactile knurled sports gear lever and drilled alloy sports pedals that add to the pleasure of gear changing.
On the inside, you can select from eight veneers in different finishes, mirror-matched, with or without cross banding. There are many options to complement the finish you choose - from seat sandwich-piping to contrast stitching and cross-stitching. The options are many; the combinations virtually limitless.
