Austin Motor Company - a former British automotive company engaged in the production of passenger cars, trucks and military vehicles. The company was headquartered in Longbridge, Birmingham, England.
The company was founded in 1905 and existed until 1952, when it merged with the Nuffield Organization, creating the British Motor Corporation. The Austin brand was used until 1987. The current owner of the Austin brand is the Chinese company Nanjing Automobile Group.
