So I have this friend...He decided, "I want an Airstream, I want a broken Airstream and fix it up myself!" This is the first photo he sent me, looks totally great, right? Wrong, there was no floor, no interior, rusted out A/C on the roof, broken windows, no electrical or plumbing, no brakes!
He got it home and immediately started work on the exterior, he had to get it weatherproof because we were coming into fall. What was the end result, was it still this dull aluminum looking colour?
Nope
He spent around 200 hours stripping off the old clear coat and buffing this beauty to a stupendous shine! Removed the garbage A/C units, installed some circulation fans, patched the aluminum, and voila! Mirror like finish!
So pumped for him, he's using it as his office. I will post about the inside tomorrow.
