Paris is one of those places where everyone that goes has a different experience. But for some reason almost everyone takes this photo, even if you've been here before, you NEED this photo. This photo reminds me of a young, frail, Frenchy, trying to kiss 2 girls from Brooklyn. Yeah, he almost got stomped, he was saved by 2 Australians. Yup, they're in the photo too.
We were there for a week, yes we did the Louvre, yes I was bored in 30 Mins, maybe I'm not deep enough? Paris to me is wine, charcuterie, brocantes, and pastries. These are the things I feel the french do very well, and these are the places where I have funny experiences.
Like this guy.
We hit it off, we talked about the terroirs we liked, wine production, cheese. He gave me a glass of amazing Beaujolais, I could never afford it... Then he MADE us try his homemade hooch (basically 60% limoncello). How did this happen, a lot of people say the french can be a little snobby... My answer is, don't even think you can pass for a Parisian, they can spot you a mile away, it doesn't matter how fluent you are in the language, be yourself and have a good time, let them experience your culture too!
This made me think of @dexter-k, he's a pinball fanatic.
