I am so regretting not dumping all I had on Powerledger. My brother did, but I followed my own gut feeling which I am going to kill after this blog.
Yesterday it hit a high of $1.81. Today is staying around the $1.70 range. It's a big jump when it opened in November 01, 2017 at $0.05. That is a gain of over 3200%.
In short, it's a way for everyone to save money on electricity bill. With their platform, you can trade power with anyone using a decentralized application. Much like a marketplace where you can buy and sell power.
For example, my neighbor has solar panels, he accumulated heaps of power during the day and it will just go to waste if not used. He sets up shop in Powerledger, I go in there and buy some of it for much cheaper compared to the giant power company. Neighbor makes money and I save money, everyone is happy.
In Freemantle, trials are going to be underway to test out their platform. Testing how homes can trade with each other without the need for major electricity company. Recently they meet with a big company in India and have successfully secured a partnership with Tech Mahindra. They are currently conducting private trials.
With the way things are going in Australia, power companies charging more every year, summer heat keeps rising, the air con is on almost 24/7 now in our house all through the hot season. Electric cars will certainly need a whole lot of juice. Bitcoin miners need this too. Keeping their mining power costs down will earn them more profit from the exuberant fees they are charging.
Think about how much people would save. It will really help a whole lot of people put more money in their pockets. Who doesn't love that?
From December 9, 2017 to January 8, 2018, it has increased from 0.55 to 1.65. An increase of 200%!
They have a great team. The co-founder has a PHD, enough said. Ha! She is quite smart, plus she's an acting mayor of Perth. Connections. Speaking of connections, this project is actually backed by the government. So worry not of regulations.
Managing Director, David Martin has 20 years of experience in the electricity industry. CTO Mark Griffiths has over 10 years experience and has worked at Goldman-Sachs as a developer.
I also know a friend who is a friend with someone who ditched Facebook's job offer to work for Powerledger. To decline a job offer from Facebook is something you don't do very often.
I don't really know her role but her Powerledger account on Facebook is here at https://www.facebook.com/aimie.h.rigas?hc_ref=ARSJ6VnDWaT03Lc8IRYoIFUrbhTMSOjGaAhibv6_HQmhzAXFqczd0XqkskOmmpvHBeg. She probably handles their social media account, she is an admin in Powerledger Project Talk Group on Facebook. She even told her boyfriend to invest as much as he can into Powerledger. My friend didn't listen and is now crying but I told him it has great potential and I am still putting in little by little.
They have more great team members that I want you to see for yourself that these guys are more than capable. Check out their team here at https://powerledger.io/#team.
If that's not enough, they have a working product. Most projects doesn't have one. My beloved Tron coin for example, I still believe in it and love what they are trying to achieve even though they don't have an existing product.
These things will only push Powerledgers market prices higher to greater heights. Consider what I said and do your own research before investing. I am not responsible for any profits or losses you make.
