The 18-year-old Barcelona talent Ilaix Moriba is expected to leave Barcelona here in this summer's transfer window and now 90min reports that the talent has chosen to switch to Leipzig instead of Tottenham, who have also been in the game until recently.
With a price tag of just 40 million, the talent has not lacked suitors. One of the more serious has always been the German big club RB Leipzig, which thus seems to have won the battle for the coveted midfielder.
According to Sky Germany, Barcelona is now waiting for the Germans to come up with a bid close to the 40 million. The Germans' first bid was around 30 million, which the Catalans immediately rejected. The deal must be completed before the window closes Tuesday night until midnight otherwise Moriba must remain in Spain.
Moriba has a single year left on his contract with Barcelona.
