30-year-old Martin Braithwaite showed yesterday why the Dane is a hot topic in the transfer market, when in a 4-2 victory he scored two goals and added up to one when FC Barcelona beat Real Sociedad.
FC Barcelona expects a bid for the Dane already in this transfer window, and if the bid is large enough, it will initiate a chain reaction, where two Arsenal profiles will be assessed as potential replacements for the Danish national team player.
According to Sport, FC Barcelona will not be active on the buying front in this transfer window, but should a bid for Braithwaite be big enough, then the Arsenal duo, 32-year-old Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and 30-year-old Alexandre Lacazette in the binoculars of the Catalans. Both Arsenal guns can also be part of a barter deal for the Danes, as FC Barcelona can not afford the profiles as it looks right now.
Personally, Braithwaite will play his chance in FC Barcelona even though both Tottenham and West Ham have expressed an interest in the Dane. Martin Braithwaite has a contract with FC Barcelona until the summer of 2024, where it has turned into 52 matches with 10 goals and five assists as a result.
