Many people are aware that Venezuela is currently going through one of its most challenging periods, in which the crisis does not have a single cause, so I’ll summarize it right away.
It's worth noting, first and foremost, that I edited this initial image—taken from Facebook—by adding text so I could share it with you. The thing is, people feel it's all too symbolic: a government truck right in front of the destroyed building, clearly foreshadowing what's to come.
First, there is the institutional transition following the capture of President Nicolás Maduro in Caracas by U.S. forces in January 2026, which left the country under an interim presidency led by Delcy Rodríguez; fortunately, the six-month interim term was the subject of an intense constitutional debate yesterday.
The second issue is the humanitarian catastrophe triggered by the June 24 earthquake in the north of the country, which has left more than 3,600 dead and thousands homeless.
However, amid the deployment of international aid, a controversy is brewing in the streets over supplies that were traced to Maturín, in Monagas state.
To ensure transparency in shipments from Panama to La Guaira, the city’s mayor, Mayer Mizrachi, placed hidden geolocation devices (AirTags) inside the boxes.
Discontent and accusations of corruption erupted when one of the active devices was found on Orinoco Avenue in Maturín, fueling public mistrust that authorities were diverting the supplies.
However, following this controversy, local reports and sources involved in relief efforts for the disaster victims explained that the aid in question was a package of wet wipes containing a tracker, which had been legitimately delivered in La Guaira to a family from Modificada la Cal who had subsequently traveled to Maturín to seek refuge with relatives.
Nevertheless, following this clarification, a new and much more intense verbal exchange erupted between the Panamanian mayor and political figures such as Diosdado Cabello, highlighting the enormous social tension and the country’s deep sensitivity regarding military control over humanitarian aid.
Everything that has happened has left us with many doubts and a much greater distrust of the Venezuelan government.!

There are many unreliable sources and many people distorting the facts, so I didn’t want to include the main images here. Instead, I’ll quickly show you what this illustration depicts.

Muchos están claros de que Venezuela está atravesando actualmente una de las coyunturas más complejas en donde la crisis no viene desde un solo punto así que voy a resumir esto inmediatamente.
Primero la transición institucional que existe tras la captura del presidente Nicolás Maduro en Caracas por parte de fuerzas estadounidenses en enero del 2026 lo que hizo que el país quedara bajo una presidencia encargada liderada por Delcy Rodríguez ojalá que el mandato interino de 6 meses enfrentó el día de ayer un intenso debate de constitucionalidad.
Lo segundo que está sucediendo es la catástrofe humanitaria que fue provocada tras el terremoto del 24 de junio en el norte del país lo que ha dejado más de 3600 fallecidos y miles de personas sin hogar.
Sin embargo en medio del despliegue de ayuda internacional hay una polémica que está prendida en la calle y es en torno a los suministros que fueron rastreados hasta maturín estado monagas.
Con el fin de garantizar la transparencia de los envíos desde Panamá hasta la guaira el alcalde de la ciudad Mayer Mizrachi colocó dispositivos de geolocalización (AirTags) ocultos en las cajas.
El descontento y la acusaciones de corrupción estallaron cuando uno de los dispositivos apareció activo en la avenida Orinoco de maturín alimentando la desconfianza ciudadana sobre el desvío de insumos por parte de las autoridades.
Sin embargo luego de toda esta polémica salieron reportes locales y fuentes vinculadas a la atención de damnificados que explicaron que la ayuda en cuestión fue un paquete de toallas húmedas que contenía rastreador y que fue entregada legítimamente en la guaira a una familia del modificada la cal luego viajó hasta la ciudad de maturín para buscar refugio con familiares.
Aún asi tras esta aclaratoria se desató un nuevo cruce verbal mucho más fuerte ya que estalló entre el alcalde panameño y figuras políticas como diosdado cabello evidenciando la enorme crispación social y la profunda susceptibilidad del país frente al control militar de la ayuda humanitaria.
Todo esto que ha sucedido nos ha dejado con muchísimas dudas con mucho más desconfianza ante el gobierno venezolano.
