Over the last 12 hours, the power supply has been erratic (not to mention that it's been terrible).
Here the electric service, has apparently been suspended; one of the reasons seems to be the strong winds and rain, which have caused damage to some power lines, leading to this situation. We don’t understand how to verify this—we haven’t seen any images or any news reports about it. As we’re used to thinking rationally, we assumed it was a normal power outage, but electricity service is still out in the vast majority of locations. The few lights visible in the photo are from vehicles, and some businesses have generators set up out front to keep their shops running. Currently, I’m taking safety precautions, and even the business owners themselves are doing the same to keep their property safe—just think about the level of insecurity we face in Venezuela.
Post this to keep everyone who's following the situation informed and engaged.
Thanks, everyone. I hope to be back here in a couple of hours.
