Between 12 and 15 million hectares of forest are lost each year on planet Earth.
These drones are planting trees from the sky to fight deforestation, their UAVs use compressed air to launch seeds at 350 feet per second. Each drone is capable of planting up to 800 seeds per hour: that's the equivalent of 16 acres of forest every single day! The drones also help with 3D mapping and removing invasive species. DroneSeed is currently working with environmental groups and forestry companies.
