Your DeepPoints will be converted to $ONIONs each week on Sunday, and the associated $ONIONs will be automatically deposited in your wallet. You don’t need to apply to join, and you don’t need to do anything to convert your DeepPoints to $ONIONs. It is all automatic. On Sunday every member’s DeepPoints are reset back to zero and the weekly process starts over. The amount of $ONIONs you receive depends on the total amount of DeepPoints earned by the entire community.
You can perform bounties to receive ONIONs for your work. If you can create quality articles, videos, or tutorials, you will be rewarded with an ONION bounty. The amount of ONIONs you receive is dependent on the quality of your work. If you submit a low quality article or video, you can expect to receive a very low bounty payout. If your work is high quality and well thought out, you will be rewarded more. Take your time and produce something worthwhile and you will find some extra ONIONs in your wallet.
The final method to procure some free ONIONs is by entering giveaways and contests on the DeepOnion community forums. Generous community members routinely create giveaways to spread some of their ONIONs to the lucky winner. So try your luck, and maybe you’ll find yourself with a few ONIONs more.
DeepOnion is the name of the project as a whole. It may also be used to refer to the coin itself (the currency are actually called $ONION on exchanges). Think of DeepOnion the same way you would think of Bitcoin or Litecoin. It’s the name of the currency/project.
DeepPoints are the points you get for participating in the forum. Think of it as a bonus for engaging with other people who are interested in the project. DeepPoints don't have a specific ratio of DeepPoints:ONION. The amount of Onions you receive for your DeepPoints depends on the total amount of DeepPoints the entire community has. DeepPoints reset every Sunday and are converted to Onions.
Keep in mind; certain forums do not receive any rewards. For instance, posting in the Off Topic forum provides no DeepPoint rewards, and doesn’t count towards your post count.
The above applies to the majority of the forum, but the DeepDomination tasks forum provides BONUS DeepPoints. DeepDomination tasks are special marketing tasks that help spread the word about DeepOnion. These Domination tasks are currently the best way to earn DeepPoints if they are done correctly. Here are the current rewards for completing DeepDomination tasks:
As you can see, correctly completing Domination tasks can reward up to .03 DeepPoints per day, not including likes. That said, make sure you follow all the rules, complete all the requirements and post full desktop screenshots in order to avoid getting your post deleted. Having a post deleted results in losing 3x the points you gained, so it’s important to make sure you are correctly completing the tasks.
Now that you understand DeepPoints, and how to earn them, it’s important to also understand some of the general forum rules, dos and don’ts. Bad behavior in the forum can result in a loss of your DeepPoints, or worse, a ban. It’s important to post thoughtfully and avoid posting spam comments. Here are some general rules to make sure that your account stays in good standing, and receive the ONIONs you deserve:
• Avoid making SPAM posts. Spam posts are those posts that add nothing to a conversation, or lack real content. Examples of spam posts include things like “DeepOnion to the moon!” or “Nice post, I like it!” These posts add nothing constructive to a topic, and are therefore considered spam.
• The main forums are ENGLISH ONLY. There are local forums for different languages at the bottom of the forum list. Use English in the main forums.
• Before you make a new thread, check to see if a similar thread already exists. Use the search feature on the top right of the forums to make sure you aren’t making an unnecessary duplicate topic. For instance there are already numerous threads about the price of DeepOnion, the price of Bitcoin, or the amount of DeepOnions people received from the airdrop. Instead of making a new topic, respond to an existing one.
• Do NOT make multiple accounts. Creating multiple accounts on the DeepOnion forums is seen as a method of cheating. Users with more than one account per IP address will likely be banned.
• Research topics before you ask. Making a topic like “What is DeepOnion, someone help!” can be seen as lazy. There are lots of resources available. Use the search feature to find answers to your questions rather than starting a new thread.
• Use common sense. As long as you are posting in a way that adds to the discussion, you have nothing to worry about. Use your own discretion about what to post, and if you’re posting in good faith you have nothing to worry about.
Here are the prerequisite amounts of trophy points for each rank:
Additionally, all DeepDomination tasks are locked on Saturday before the Sunday DeepPoints airdrop to be double checked by the moderator team, and prevent and remove abuse or low quality posts.
If you have negative DeepPoints on Sunday, you will receive 0 ONIONs from the DeepPoint airdrop.
