Dayana recalled the good memories of her life when she was a child, where she enjoyed playing on the beach near the volcanic crater in the island of Mt. Kimi, an island far from the archipelago of Kirana. But she didn't enjoy these days anymore; there were always lots of bad memories, terrible memories, so many awful plagues in their village from the starving. Dayana's parents were still good at challenging circumstances but she couldn't do it; she preferred dreams to reality.
She went on her way to the beach she used to play when she was a child. The beach she called this place when she was a little girl, before she became a woman. The beach was almost empty like its volcanic crater.
Like a wild shore of a sand beach on the rocky coast, the crater of the old volcano had a few white pine trees and green bushes growing on it, surrounded by a stretch of woods.
Suddenly she saw some flying creatures, so she fell down and escaped the flying monsters. The creatures were dark green in color like skin of a chameleon. When she hid under one of the pine trees, she noticed something clicked softly in her pocket. When she looked into the pocket, she found a small red button.
When she pushed the button softly, she heard a trumpeting sound from the woods. It was the sound of an elephant. She was so scared by hearing the trumpeting sound that she wanted to run away, but something made her stay back. That "something" was coming, coming closer every moment. Slowly, she saw something was coming closer, a cuddly creature, as she heard a treading sound of footsteps like a human walking, came in to her sight.
A white elephant with a white band around his trunk came closer to her, like he was trying to tell her something. Dayana still saw a death in his eyes as he was moving his tusks together. Her hidden feelings were very afraid of him but she was still afraid to move, and she didn't know why. She hung her head down and was still afraid.
The creature who came closer to her was a herond, a elephant from the ancient times of Kirana, long before the ruin of captivity. The theond was very friendly in nature like any other creatures, more than friendly. He finally stopped in front of her and placed his trunk around her back. The white elephant held on to her forcefully. He was making her feel warmer.
Dayana tried to tell him something as she was standing there. The creatures were speaking in their ancient long extinct language which the ancestors could understand, as they didn't have any other spoken language. She was trying to tell them but she couldn't. Dayana's mother tongue was Kiranese. Herot was an extinct language the ancestors didn't speak anymore.
Heroo was kind to her. He kept talking in a low tone until she got tired listening to it and told him: "Get over here. Let's stand next to each other."
The herond understood her calmly. He stood up on the ground and joined her right next to her. He went towards south-west around the crater which was piled with many large stones like the bones of land animals. He was following her.
