For many people, the answer is yes. A lot of us are doing too much. If you live in a city, just come out and watch the morning rush hour. The traffic in most urban areas is horrible, with motorists blowing their horn to zoom off. Where are we rushing to? Some people work 9-5 jobs, plus overtime. Others work throughout the weekend even on holidays too. There are still others that are holding down more than one job just to meet up with economic demands. Its a stressful life! Are we doing too much? Probably yes. But we need to create time for things that really matter!
How about these:
1. Make and spend time with your loved ones - especially your kids - because that is the biggest gift you could give them.
2. Make time for yourself because doing too much can kill you.
3. Give your time to less-privileged members of your society.
4. Make time for God - that is if you believe in him
5. Meditation can sooth your body and soul - make time for it.
6. Create time to read everyday. It widens your understanding of the world
7. Make for recreation because it recharges your energy
8. Make time for any other worthwhile endeavors you could think of.
Time is a precious commodity. If you do too much, you have less or no time for things that really matter. You can step back, analyze how much you do everyday and you will surely find some things that really take your time, but shouldn't. Maybe you can have more time if you stop those things.
When we do less and create time for more meaningful things, our life will have clear purpose and direction!
