Hello friends! All good? Here we are solid.
Since December 2021, I have been part of this wonderful community. Due to lack of time and at other times out of sheer laziness, I stopped making an introductory post... So, let's go!
My name is Fernando Menezes Jr, I'm 39 years old. I've been skating since 1996. I'm a technology professional and I've photographed skateboarding since 2011.
Skate introduced me to many people, cultures, places, and always shaped everything around me. With photography it was no different. I've always been passionate about photos with fisheye lenses and whenever there was some film left in the family's cameras, I would take them to record the sessions with my friends.
In 2011, after the end of a work contract, I took part of the money from the termination of the contract and acquired my first professional camera. Since then, I've plunged headlong into the world of skateboard photography.
On this journey of learning, I had many people who helped me with knowledge. However, Júlio Tio Verde, Tiago Cambará and Renê Junior were the photographers who helped me the most in this arduous mission of controlling speed, shutter and ISO.
In 2012, I had the pleasure of having my first photo published in a skate magazine. The magazine was Vista.art.br, which in addition to skateboarding, focuses on art, music and everything that involves the skateboarding universe. It was such a joy, I can't even express it.

Skate photography is something I have fallen in love with and seriously strive to do.
As I usually say: Skate photography is a hobby I take very seriously!
Some tricks...
Some of my photos...
I hope I brought you a good intro post.
Cheers!
