Flying-Higher and DiggnDeeper are complimentary brands using very similar skill sets and tools but have very different goals. I hope to use to use my passion toward these two brands as ways to maximize my earnings professionally through Flying-Higher as well as my value in contributions in the Open Source / Voluntaryist / Abolitionist communities through DiggnDeeper.

There is no doubt that this is an ambitious, even over ambitious sounding plan, but I believe it is very doable. It is much more simple than it may sound. I have put a lot of thought and planning into this and the more I execute the first parts, the more optimistic I am.

Let me start with a little background about how I got here and what I have been futzing around doing lately, and I'll put that behind us and get into what Flying-Higher is all about. I'll try to be quick.

First of all, I think it is important to mention that I have been a farrier for about 25 years now. The reason that is important is that being a farrier is what got me interested in Open Source. I wanted to learn how to run a web server and web site all the way back in '97. I learned enough to start a side hustle building and maintaining custom servers using open source software.

An interest in Open Source got me listening to podcasts all day while I drove from farm to farm and even while I was shoeing horses. I still do that. Those podcasts started mentioning liberty oriented things and as often happens, one thing led to another and then to anarchy - and content creation.

Lots of time thinking and studying and iterations in plans along with a bit of luck in the crypto-sphere and here I am; ready to jump.

I am not new to Steemit. My DiggnDeeper account has been active almost a year, started last March, but I just started this Flying-Higher account today. I used SteemConnect account creation tool and the account was instantly ready. Pretty cool.

So, at long last, what is Flying-Higher?

I might as well start at the beginning again. My wife and I were looking at real estate and realized there was an opportunity for aerial imaging, so I started getting into it. I got my FAA Part 107 which the fed goons require for people flying for profit (but not Joe Blow hobbyist). I will admit, I learned a ton.

I also realize that I am not just a drone pilot; I am a multi media content creator. Drones are only one tool. Actually, they need to be completely seamless to be truly effective. In other words, I want to create content with or without drones that the content consumers are completely unaware of the drone even being used.

If I was to pick my favorite and most powerful tool for content creation, there is no competition. Blender is probably the most powerful story telling tool available. Luckily, it is open source.

At this point, my plan is to get into real estate, auto, boat, RV and any other high ticket item that needs professional photography and videography. As of right now, I am looking to work with people for free to build my portfolio and gain some operating experience. Luckily, I think my farrier business experience will translate somewhat well, but I do expect there will be a lot to learn.

I'm in the process of gearing up to do documentary style videos for businesses and organizations as well. I expect to remain a one man or small crew run and gun operator doing custom contract work.

I hope you follow me for future posts here on Steemit and plenty of D.tube videos about my start from Day 1 here today into the future together.

Thank you!
Scott Gregory
