Day 7 of 42 days of bootstrapping

Real estate shoot scheduled for next Tuesday.

It has been hard to even get realtors to take the special deal I am offering. I'll admit that my marketing has been rather hit or miss. Today I scheduled a photo and video shoot for a property next Tuesday. That's one!

I have had the plan of reaching out to realtors, but I haven't done much of that. I have reached out to a few and found that those happened to already have some ridiculously low priced people doing their work. Their work looks decent, but I just can't imagine that those prices are sustainable. Who knows. I'm not lowering my prices. If I can't get work at my price range, I will just move on.

To continue about prices though, I see that mine are comparable to the Florida market. That's good news, since that is our target.

Gear and geekery.

I'm glad I replaced my drone last week. I only have one battery now, but I have another one on the way and due to be here on Sunday. I don't know if I really need it, but my feels say I do. One battery should easily get me through a shoot, but two is pretty much a promise to make it through and that makes me a lot happier. Especially since I am doing video and pictures on Tuesday. It is possible I will get close to the near twenty minutes that the battery gives me. Now, I don't have to worry about it.

More geer and geekery.

As far as gear goes, I have it all. Besides my top of the line Autel Evo drone, my Panasonic GH5 is a world-class video machine that also takes excellent stills. My Olympus 7-14 is a great match to the GH5 and constantly surprises people with the quality of pictures and video. Now, I can pair those with my DJI Ronin S gimbal for super smooth real estate video.

With all that superior video and photography gear, I go on to the ThinkPad P52 workstation that boasts the top Xeon processor and high-end Quadro graphics card.

That's all well and fine, but not much use without the skills required to do the work.

I may not have much experience yet, but I feel that I certainly have the tools and knowledge for a range of stuff that my competition is unlikely to have. Maybe my ignorance is getting the best of me.
