馃摉Story Time With Luke!!! We Almost Sliped Off a Mountain馃椈...
The Story
Hey there!! So the other day I promised to tell you the story of when I was out at Wind Wolves!!! So to keep my promise true, here goes nothing!!
On the second day that we were there(We were camping for three days) We were going to go on a tour of some Indian reservations. Everyone was excited and pumped because what kind of history we were about to witness. The start to the day was great, a clear day with the sun shining. However, as we're on the tour bus, we were enveloped by clouds and we got nervous. Now you might be wondering, what's so bad if it rains a little?! The bus can go through it. But the thing is, The ground at Wind Wolves is clay and do you know what happens when hard clay gets wet? It softens up and because squishy... It started raining and everyone doesn't know what to do because we just went up a cliff. After a few minutes of rain pouring on us, the van started fishtailing on the road, what were we going to do?!?!
For those of you who don't know what fishtailing is, it's when the back tired lose all traction and the back starts sliding back and forth. Eventually we slid off the road and everyone started screaming.
Okay, okay, I'm obviously alive and well. Now the part that we slip off on was around the middle of the trip. We started by driving up and cliff and we dropped down into a valley and it was in the valley that we slid off the road. However, that still meant we needed to walk like 5 miles in the pouring rain and have to walk down a cliff. LUCKILY, the rain stopped right before we had to walk down the other side of the cliff. It was soooooo beautiful after the rain so I managed to take a picture of right before I walked down the cliff.
This was honestly so worth it because I got to see so many beautiful things that there would be no chance of me seeing if I staying in a working van. For example, I would have never seen such amazing plants.
Lastly, I got so see some amazing things such as these deer that were just casually walking across this hill!!! Aren't they just soooooo cute?!?馃槉
