Watching some Seagulls at the Danube

One of the most common birds that can be found at the Danube River here near Linz are different seagulls that are hunting for small fish in the River. They rest on different spots for example near water power plants or at the ship docks where they have a good overview and easy hunting grounds in the River water. I know it is a bit unfair but usually I am looking for diffent birds and these pictures are done as a byproduct or simply when it is too boring and not other birds are there. Eventhough some of these seagulls are seldom or only visitors during bird migration, for me they are not so interesting than some other bird species. I don't really know why. But if they are hunting nearby in the river for some fish and they get really close it can be nice to take some pictures of them.

Today I was outside for some time and eventhough spring might be here soon it was still very cold outside especially with the cold wind. Without this wind it wouldn't be that cold.
