On my birdphotography weekend in Lower Austria I managed to take several pictures of Birds of Prey but also some small Meadow Birds like the whinchat was posing for my camera these days. I am really happy that I get that close to some of the birds but during the spring time this is much easier. Now in Autumn the birds are not looking for a mate and are much more cautious that's why it is a lot more difficult to get close to them. This little whinchat was posing on a red post and I quickly took some pictures before it could fly away. But one step too close from my side and it flew off. I wish some birds would come closer to me, or if i could make them clear that I don't want to do them any harm. Some really nice closeups would be great.
