On one of my visits at Lake Neusiedler I had the luck that there was a short eared owl flying on a spot that was well known and due to this fact I could wait for it directly on this spot and it really appeared and hunted right in front of me. It was great to watch the bird flying around and whenever it came close me and several other people took a lot of pictures of this bird. The short-eared owl wasn't afraid of all the photographers and came very close several times. This is why I was able to take these beautiful pictures of the bird. I only now one spot here in Austria where I can find this bird and this is Lake Neusiedler.
