This week I am on holiday and I decided to visit some nice spots in Austria. One spot that I like to visit regulary is Retz and also Dürnstein on the danube in Lower Austria. These are two smaller towns that are popular because of their excellent Wine. I actually don't really like wine but I love fermented grape juice (Sturm or Federweißer in German). It still has a little bit of sweetness and a lot less alcohol than wine but tastes really great. One of my favorite drinks during the autumn days. When visiting a wine region in autumn I really have to enjoy some Sturm every time.
But Dürnstein has also a very nice Church in blue color as you can see here. It also has a nice castle ruin and is a popular destination for visitors. A lot of cyclists but also some tourists from abroad are visiting this small town at the danube in Lower Austria.
