At the "Hintersee" Lake in Mittersill you can enjoy a nice hiking tour and fresh water. Nearly Every Time we visit Mittersill in Salzburg for a Hiking trip we also take the hiking trip to the "Hintersee" that is a lake just up the hill from Mittersill it has a very nice lancscape and nature there and the lake has a very clear and fresh water. The food there on the "Alm" is just wonderfull and there is a lot to discover up there. Several nice plants, birds and animals. depending on the time of the year you can see capricorns, chamois, marmottes and a lot of differen birds up there. A walk around the lake is a nice change in difficulty after the hike up the mountain. Up there we took several nice landscape picturea nd also watched a fisherman fishing in the shallow water of the lake.
