During the last few weeks I tried to practice with photoshop a bit and I created several masks of different objects that I took some pictures of. I am still learning so I have to try the different methods of creating the cutouts and for this example I also put a frame around my object to create this 3D effect that lets the object appear to pop out of a frame or a photo. It is quite funny to see the results and I keep getting better but it also take a lot of time to create good layer masks for the different object in a picture. I also need to experiment with different brushes and brush types to get some better results. I avoided to edit my pictures till now and most of my pictures here are not edited at all. But depending on my learning progress and my fun with editing pictures I might do some more edits in the future.
In winter time that is still ahead of us I will probably not be so much out there to take some wildlife pictures in the cold and so I can sit at home and still do something to at least develop my photo editing skills. I plan to watch several videos on youtube to help me with this topic.
For the 3D Effect I inserted a white frame that is shaped with angled lines so it makes the illusion that the object (the dog in this picture) pop out.
Picture Edit of one of my dogs. Unfortunately he is already wating in heaven for me. Picture: Florian Glechner.
First result with a mask in Photoshop, I definitely need to choose pictures better in the future and also create better masks with some more different methods. Picture: Florian Glechner.
