English 🇺🇲

Maybe for some people talking about their dad is like: What's so special about him? Talking about mine, he has everything special about him.

I don't know if it happens to you, but I think females are more attached to their fathers. We see him as the superhero, or at least I do.

I think that this is related to the fact that mums are more of a "no" person: don't do this, don't climb on the bed, don't eat that, and daddies are more independent, decisive and permissive.

But I'm not going to talk about other people's daddies, I'm going to talk about mine😁💞👨👧👨👧👨👧.

My father and I in childhood

My parents are divorced. I have known that since I was two years old. My father had one house and my mother had another.

I understood that my dad came to pick me up at a certain time one day and that on December the baby Jesus was in my house because my dad brought me his present separately.

We are two siblings on my mother and father's side, but my younger brother was always more with my mother. However, I was always waiting for the day to see my dad.

To call him, sit down and talk to him, make him a souvenir of the special day and congratulate him on his birthday.

My mum says that whenever he drove, he always carried me on his lap. What I don't understand is why being in the front row, I didn't learn to drive 😂🤣😅🤔🚗🚗🚗🚗.

But, as I grew up, at my age, I understood many things and my dad always allowed me to raise my voice, to be free, to decide my tastes and to enjoy myself when I should enjoy myself, I think that's what parents teach.

Oh, and punctuality, a more punctual man than him, (I hope they do exist). If he says I come at 4:00, you have to be ready at 3:30, because then it's late.🕔🕟🕡

In adolescence, my father always present

I think he likes to be my dad 😂🤣😅 because I'm like him: a dancer, we sing, we are accomplices, he would say something and I wouldn't be quiet, although later I would ask him or say it quietly.

In my adolescence, I didn't give a lot of trouble, I always asked myself "And when will you introduce me to a boyfriend?" Or "look (at friends) you don't have a son for my daughter 😅🤣😂🤣😅" it used to bother me, but after that I didn't even care.

In class, he would go to my important events, but he had something very peculiar: if he was near my school, he would stop and go in and ask to speak to my teachers or coordinators to see how my studies were going. Afterwards, I would find out that he had been there. Thank goodness I was always a good student and had no complaints about my 👩🏫👩🏼🎓👩💻👨👧.

My father and I today

It would be dishonest to say that we never had any problems, let's just say that because of our similar characters we have had our differences, which are not worth mentioning.

What I can tell you is that today we have a very healthy relationship of respect and support. We live in different cities but we are in constant communication.

Because of her age, I am now her eyes before banks and technologies. She doesn't recharge her mobile phone without calling me, she asks me how to change her profile picture and when she makes a deposit, I have to check.

He has always known about my independence, that I don't like to be woken up when I am enjoying my sleep and that cooking is not my forte, so he always has something to say about that but he respects my space.

I have learned to be patient, to listen to his story about the cable car, his brothers and the time he visited Mérida every time I see him, of course always smiling at the parts that make him laugh.

I would like to give him a dignified old age close to me, because he deserves it, he has always been there for me and I would like Star to be there for him.

My dad is the best, anyone who knows him will attest to that. So I hope he lasts much longer so that I can continue to enjoy his stories.

Dad's day should also be every day, and considering that he didn't have that figure, as a dad he's done very well, so I'd like to celebrate him.

I celebrate his day!

With a virtual hug, until I can hug him physically.
