Hello Hive friends. It's mid-week and soon we will have a mid-summer weekend. Today I wanted to do an article a little different and more reflective.
It's not that I'm worried because I'm a fairly adaptive person, but I am a little worried thinking about where this world is going today. I am still a young woman but I see with amazement how the new generations are losing their critical spirit.
In theory, we now handle much more information, it is available to everyone and it is more difficult to prevent it from being transmitted, but nevertheless the new generations seem much more docile to authority. In fact, when you talk to them or listen to them, they are unable to focus on who the authority is. It's something that didn't happen to previous generations or at least mine.
They identify power with politicians and leaders and not with economic power, which is the one who really pulls the strings of society. They accept small cosmetic changes that don't really change anything in their lives as if they were great social achievements.
But the reality is that there is increasingly more social inequality and less freedom in Western societies. That is why I believe that we must educate our young people in a critical spirit so that they do not end up returning to the feudal societies of not so long ago.
