Hello Hivians. How are these end of year holidays going? The truth is that I am enjoying it a lot. It is a pleasure to have more time for the family and especially with the small children who do not stop moving from one place to the other.
These days my two little hooligans have become insightful detectives and are looking for more gifts. You already know from experience that during these holidays you receive gifts twice, at the beginning and at the end, but especially at the end. They have asked for many things but I don't know if they have behaved very well. Although giving them charcoal is not the solution either because they love it.
When I was little I received very few gifts at this time, a couple at most and some years, unfortunately, none. Although I was a very imaginative girl and played with anything to my mother's despair. Luckily my children have many more things but I try not to inundate them with gifts so they can use their imagination. Unfortunately other family members make that job a little more difficult for me.
The important thing about gifts is that they are useful and that they are used for as long as possible, so I try to avoid trends and junk gifts that last a couple of days and then are forgotten. It is better to have something that they use a lot and then it will last in their memories when they are adults.
And most importantly, do not give pets to children. It's the worst idea in the world. If you want to have animals that belong to the house, belong to everyone and a common responsibility.
