Don’t ever second guess yourself when it comes to deciding to show your true emotions to your partner. Don’t feel to proud or too tough to admit that you are hurt at any point in time. Your partner deserves every bit of emotional availability you can offer. Men who are fond of playing tough because they think men are not supposed to be weak to their partners are the most pathetic. Grow up man!
Don’t let your peer pressure determine your life. Your girl is an extension of you, treat her as such. I’ll be unfair to the men if I leave it at this; women should try to be emotionally available to their men. It’s not a sign of being weak and you’re not less of a feminist (that’s if you are one) when you do this.

Emotional availability isn’t exclusive to adults in relationships, we should be emotionally available to our kids, our family members, our friends and even legit homeless people. Being emotionally available to our loved ones is very important in the sense that it strengthens bonds and most importantly it helps us understand and open up more. Many social experiments have shown that children who grew up in homes that showed them little to no affection and attention tend to be at a higher risks of being depressed and having emotional disorders compared to those who grew up surrounded with all the love and care that any child could get.

Parents should try to be emotionally available to their kids to help reduce risks of depression and exposure to drugs and unintended crimes. I watched a YouTube video of a boy who killed his younger brother because he felt his mother wasn’t caring for him the way she did before his younger brother was born; quite bizarre but well worse things could happen if this is not tackled in our homes.
