On March 19, 2018 in Spring Township Pennsylvania Samantha Trump and Shaun Oxenreider were both arrested after police had found the body of a child ( their daughter ) Buried in a plastic storage bin with cat litter in a crawl space of their home.

Police were called to the home of Samantha Trump and Shaun Oxenreide to investigate a child welfare case. A family member of Shaun Oxenreider had called authorities with questions about what had happened to the baby. Trump and Oxenreider told family / friends that she had died of natural causes at 6 months old. After the police had investigated with Berks County Children and Youth Services , local hospitals, the berks county coroner and local funeral homes there were no records of reports about harper. The parents of the child did not have a death certificate.
They didn't allow authorities to enter their home but when Trump was talking to a police officer outside she collapsed to the ground and began to have seizures. At that time the officers entered the home and assisted her until EMS drove her to the hospital. When they entered the home police asked Oxenrider where the baby’s urn was and he gave them 2 containers that had other items inside of them. He allowed them to search the apartment for areas that a child could be in. While searching the officers found a locked door and behind that door were pictures of the child using diapers and clothing. Along with those items there was a large plastic container that was filled with cat litter. There was a trash bag that they saw sticking out of the container and the police asked Oxenreider to open it, he agreed and they opened it. The officer opened this bag up and found a child's head. They had found her.
The autopsy report stated that Harper died around January First. They didn't find her body until March. She sat in that cat litter box for who knows how long. Her death was ruled as head trauma. She had injuries caused by strong impacts, long term abuse, squeezing, multiple fractures to her ribs and her skull and a broken arm.
Original reports stated that Trump had put the blame of the baby's murder solely on the baby's father Shaun Oxenreider. Stating that he was the one who killed and then hid the body in a plastic garbage bag that was submerged in a plastic tote with cat litter. Although his lawyer stated that he wasn't the baby's primary caregiver he did share parental roles with the baby and trump. The lawyer also stated that he did not abuse his daughter in any way.
Samantha Trump was sentenced to 17½ yrs-40 years in prison followed by 5 years probation, after she entered a non-negotiated, no contest plea to 3rd Degree Murder and Concealing the Death of a Child in February 2021.The mother had acknowledged prosecutors could prove their case, but she did not admit guilt to the crime.
The father Shaun Oxenrider was charged with aggravated assault, abuse of a corpse, criminal homicide and other charges that were related to those. He served 2 years in a county prison.
Trump and Oxenrider both had known what happened to the child and both are guilty for concealing that babies body. If she was innocent alone he should have turned her in and vise versa. Today Trump is in a Pennsylvania state facility and Oxenrider roams free.
