Sunday's soft and relaxing, therefore I wanna keep on posting the introduction shots. Today's naturalism turn. Soon you'll understand why I opted for 'Hopper' in the title of this photos post.

That was a Summer day off I took to spend together with my parents and a couple of their friends, in Marta, a small jewel town of Italian tradition, located in Bolsena Lake. I say jewel because Marta embodies all the characteristics of a typical old traditional Italian village: very few families living there, they all know each other, and tourists are gloriously welcomed. Food? Not to mention the high quality restaurants and cafès facing the outstanding view of the lake: perfect for food lovers, photographers, and thinkers.
3.1 | Hopper or real
American artist Edward Hopper has always inspired me and my work. Sometimes I just think of his works and then ask myself what would he paint if he were me about to take a photo, i.e. how would he see and paint what I'm seeing right now? When in Marta, taking these pictures, that happened again to me. And for a couple of fractions of a second I ultimately realized what his works meant or, at least, what they did mean to me.

While we wonder what to do and where to go, we miss shots to take. I wonder what happen to dreams we don't sleep, and photos we don't take. Do they wait for us and give us another chance or disappear and fade away forever?
