Today’s post’s about shot #2 in my introduction. Guys, this time we’re digging into portraiture! So if you dislike the genre, I recommend to skip this post!

(official) story of the shot
We were sophomore at university and Chiara used to work as Resident Assistant in the same school residence where the fitness center was located. I used to hang out a lot with her during her long office hours, cause sometimes they were the same time as my office hours at the fitness center front desk, where I was working. I’ve always loved her beauty: simple, pure, and just clear, precisely like her name (Chiara meaning clear, clean in Italian). So one day I just asked her to pose for me and here’s what we did! (This time keep in mind the shots were taken with my D3200 Nikon, 50mm lens - my fav lens and my second fav camera of all times… just because later I got a real professional Nikon camera!)

(unofficial) story of the shot - BTS
She has basically gone right after graduation. Got engaged and disappeared. Good news guys: friendship doesn't last forever, not even until the very first day after graduation. I definitely enjoyed taking pics of her, but I need to say that it often happens to photographers to work with people that seemed to ber very important and only a couple of months later, they just leave you with no explanations. Sometimes I just wonder if my shots are the only good-looking things I have left about those individuals.
2.4 | Really?
Have you ever experienced taking pictures of people that, afterwards, disappointed you? How have you felt about that? If that happened to you too, I'd love to hear your stories. Please, leave a comment below!

...wise piece of advice from your flewsplash: never trust your subjects. The only thing that stays is your skill to see the good sides of those subjects, thanks to which they are worth your camera click! 😉
