I tried drip with mine to begin but moved to over head this last year. I will be going back to drip this year but I am taking over my garden rows with garlic which is spaced at one foot with 1/2 gal per hr emitters. I plan on planting 3 garlic per spot so will have about 150 garlic per row. It all comes down to keeping the weeds to a minimum so the garlic is not fighting for food. Mulch is your best friend. I will have 21 varieties in the ground this fall and am hoping for about 3000 bulbs next July.
