I think most governments have totally overreacted to this, the most disturbing is that it also seems to be a test to see how far they can drive it without too much resistance, as to masks that's just a detail, I look at the big picture.

My view is that anything the powers do has many facets to it, one is that it's a test in preparation for possible massive civil unrest if the climate gets totally out of control, another facet is that they needed a recession now to steal more resources from the people, the most powerful always profit in those situations, those are 2 facets I see very clearly and there are of course also many more that are not as obvious.
