Hive does not use the same inflation model as Bitcoin, and neither does the majority of all Altcoins, plus Hive is DPOS while Bitcoin is POW, which is the reason why Bitcoin takes so much energy to run while Hive is among the lowest energy demand blockchains in the world.
As to the ALIVE token the rewards pool is shrinking by 1% per year.
