I think I am participating a little late in this initiative, but it is better late than never. I was encouraged to participate because I plan to be in this incredible community much longer and I want to talk a little bit about what I think about all this. So... here I go.

What is Hive to me and what Hive means to me?

In a nutshell, Hive is family to me. More than being a code, more than being a project, more than being a place where you can make money, Hive for me is a giant family full of people with interests and different opinions, Hive is the union of thousands of people who are willing to work together to achieve a common benefit for all of us.

I am not a user who has been part of all the problems this family has gone through, so maybe my words are not as accurate compared to other people's experiences, but in these last 2 years that I have been living with people with huge amounts of money, people so smart that I admire too much and, people so nice, Hive started to be a personal part of my life, not just a place where I can make money and that's it.

I never thought that this community could become something that I would like to work for so that we can all reach a common benefit and make our community grow even more, but this is the magic of Hive. From one moment to the next, Hive is a place where I can come to vent through writing while reading a post about a military man who has had a life full of experiences that I could never live(derangedvisions@derangedvisions, I loved your post).

It's kind of like a place that, even though we've been through really big problems and may have lost people on the way to where we are now, it's still great to be able to get to live with people from the other side of the world or share your opinion in communities on topics that you're passionate about. It's just amazing to learn about life in general, make new friendships and end up being part of a family that you would spend a lot of time and anything you have to offer so that we can all get to a place much further away.

On the other hand, if you think that this can also be done on any other social network, you might be right (I personally don't see it that way), but, now imagine that thanks to Hive (the network), you can monetize every damn thing you do on this network (of course, as long as you don't want to get smart and do wrong things). Hive is completely different from any other social network in the world just because of the opportunity to give you even $0.01 for a comment where you say you are hungry.

Now, when you put the two together, this is Hive for me. An incredible family that has allowed me to learn so much throughout all this time I have been here and have learned to appreciate, so working to make this family even bigger and better is something that as long as it benefits all of us, I will be happy to do. Now, this great family has an incredible home that allows us to differentiate our mansion from the rest of the straw houses that exist (other social networks), in this home we can share all the benefits we get and, although obviously there are people who contribute more to the house now (and we should support them), we can all be part of this family and also make this family better by making any contribution we can, believe me, even inviting your cousin to join this family is an incredible contribution, we are the ones in charge of improving our home.

Hive is a family with an incredible home, Hive is a place full of experiences, feelings, emotions and full of people with interests and encouragement to go even further. That's Hive to me.

What I want to see HIVE evolve into?

To be honest, I would like Hive to be home to an exaggerated amount of people like us, I want Hive to be a place where any developer can launch their own application while thousands and thousands of people can see that application, give their opinion about it, Hive to be a place where the project is known by the amount of people who make life in it and be recognized by the opportunity to make money by just participating in this community. It would simply be an ideal place as everyone could share their opinion without fear of being censored, without fear that their opinion could be modified or eliminated by someone, that it would be a place full of freedom for everyone, that it would be OUR home.

I think that's the ideal goal I want Hive to achieve. There are still many things to improve and polish so that people see that this home is a mansion unmatched by any other, that here there are people who are dedicating their time, experience and resources so that they can have a home available for everyone at any time and in any place, We are only 4 years old and every day we are learning to improve and make more people interested in Hive and in this family, so for now, as members of this family, the best we can do is simply to contribute so that we are more and more, 95% of our strength is in our voice, our family, so the more people we are, the more our strength increases. It doesn't matter if you think your contribution is small, it doesn't matter if you are not a developer or if you don't have much money to make projects that you consider "incredible", small mass actions can bring incredibly big results.

What I think about having a large funded DAO for future HIVE development?

I think it's one of the best things we have right now, our home is new, there are many things to improve, we need to attract attention and we need to become better, so, in most cases there will be really good projects that will need the support of this family so that we can reach much better things.

Having a much larger amount of funds means having more capacity to give users enough resources to employ projects that will benefit us in some way or another, currently there are many users who may have different ideas of how to improve this home, obviously they will not be able to listen and agree with all of them, but still the amount of projects, initiatives or development is greater compared to the capacity we had before. I trust that we will make good use of this large amount of funds and that the community will propose projects that will benefit us and make us go further. I hope that this can be used much better in the coming months and that the number of projects that are being carried out to make us grow will increase.

A personal note

I want to add that Steem was a platform that allowed me to fight against the economic crisis that exists in Venezuela today, I made friends that helped me a lot in my growth in the community and also helped me economically. Steem was a place that allowed me to contribute to the food in my house, Steem was a place that allowed me to buy my first smartphone (A Moto G5 Plus, I will never forget that day) and Steem was a place that allowed me to buy the laptop from where I am writing this article right now. Steem failed and Hive was born, a much better project with a community with steel balls and a project that will be what Steem can never be. I'm very happy to be part of this family and I'm quite grateful for everything Steem has represented to me before, I'm fully confident that Hive will be a place that will allow me to have even bigger things than I could achieve at Steem and, I'm completely willing to work for Hive to be a better place for everyone. I'm not an investor with large amounts of money, I'm not a developer with years of experience, I'm just a 17 year old kid who loves cryptology and who feels part of a family of fucking amazing and admirable people. I'm willing to make any contribution that means an improvement in Hive, because I'm willing to give anything so we can get to a much better place, thank you for existing, Hive (and thank you very much to the people who worked hard for the creation of this new home). I hope I can be useful here and I look forward to being here when we get a lot further.

Thanks for reading!
