To be honest, I never really understood dCity. I am holding tons of cards and I have sold 100% of my SIM income every single day since day one. And I am glad I did! I probably made back all my investment at this point but always wondered what makes this different from a Ponzi scheme. People buy and hope for high returns, which is only sustainable if more people keep buying. It is not really a game and there is nothing going on. There is no interaction between "players" and pretty much zero official updates on where this is going (or have I missed them?). The ominous 3rd edition is being mentioned over and over again, in the hope to keep people to buy and continue the race for an ever growing ROI. Maybe it comes but what then? More cards, more stats but same non-action?

Apparently, it is all about who has the best strategy of holding the right cards and ideally more than anybody else, to leech out as much as possible from the reward pool and reinvest as much as possible to stay on top and continue the grind. Al in the hope/calculation that the ROI compounds higher and higher. Maybe I am wrong but this is how I felt about dCity since my first day and each day going by seems to make my initial feeling more and more based in reality.

Please proof me wrong.

That being said, I am not regretting to hold these cards and I am wishing the "game" and the community all the success possible. I certainly keep on holding my cards indefinitely. And if the 3rd edition indeed comes, I might actually load up again. I also have high regards for what Gerber did with dCity and his engagement on Hive in general. Doesn't mean that I understand what's going on...
