I imagine it's impossible to obtain a precise number of deaths world-wide, but I could speculate by saying that it's millions and millions, according to the news I see on a daily basis. I tried myself to collate pieces of data and compile some sort of estimation on the approximate number, but there are so many factors that could lead to one's death, it's proved too difficult to obtain with any accuracy. I just know that death is everywhere and at anytime.
And along with difficulty in sourcing figures, it's also impossible to find out out 'what happens after we die', so there's nothing definitive that I am satisfied with, thus the question remains unanswered for myself. There are people that have given testimonies that they have had outer body experiences, seen passed loved ones, entered a tunnel of light and even met with God, which is a meeting one would not forget in a hurry. Then to counter these testimonies are scientific studies into the release of DMT (dimethyltriptamine) from the pineal gland when death occurs, which would explain away these stories as nothing more than a natural hallucination caused by this bodily chemical.
I am going to apply Occam's razor (or Ockham's razor) principle to life after death, but with an open mind as an abundance of assumptions doesn't necessarily make it so.
More things should not be used than are necessary.
There is an article (link below) I found that supports the theory of DMT being the reason for these dream like stories from people providing reports about this heavenly realm from where the light resides.
The science of something is really how something works, so having sought out scientific evidence that would logically explain the effects generated in a person when entering life after death, hasn't got me totally convinced. But, I'm still left with something inside that either wants to believe to the contrary, or that belief in-itself is a mystical force, totally unseen by the naked eye. I mean, I have never seen gas before, nor felt it, but have smelled it. I have never seen radio waves, nor smelled them, but I've heard them. I have never seen God, nor smelled God, but I have felt God, for sure.
It's scientific when body chemistry and scans for brain activity are involved, which would be tangible proof beyond question for the objective minded individual, but we are dealing with God, possibly. Now religion, God and Death are synonymous in today's society, so I'll use a couple of excerpts from the bible, which are rather fitting;
Samuel 16:7 The LORD does not look at the things people look at.
So, maybe there is a realm that operates beyond our visual spectrum, a holy realm of some sort that connects to our souls, or not, it's really down to belief and connecting to the realm(s) beyond our current understanding.
Isaiah 32:3 Then everyone who has eyes will be able to see the truth, and everyone who has ears will be able to hear it.
I do not proclaim to know anything, but can only use my eyes to see and my ears to hear and there is a debate to be had regarding the topic of life after death, as death is for certain, but what happens after death remains a mystery, well to me anyway.
Anyhow, answers or no answers, life must be preserved, nurtured and protected and sometimes in life, miracles can happen and I can certainly vouch for that, like so many others can too. There is only a six-ten minute window from the first stage of death to the final that could consequently lead to permanent brain damage, and that is why everyone should know CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) to create a potential miracle, yes you can perform them too.
