Need a good cry?

A lot of the conversations I've had this week have pertained to the beauty of depression.
We've all fallen into that pit.
But while we are languishing in this void, do we ever notice its vastness?
Do we think of this empty space as we think of an empty new home with endless possibilities?
When our lives fall apart, it feels like we have nothing but the ground we stand on.
But now we can see in every direction, and the foundation is clear for rebuilding.
Would we rather stack new furniture on top of old furniture, or are we willing to let go of what no longer serves us, and analyze that empty space to determine the best possible layout of this new life?
