In the last 12 months, the US$ is down about 10% which doesn't help those saving or using a US$ dominated form of trading.

There is a lot of macro economic plays in motion and I lean toward picking another currency as being stable. There is a reason why the Trump administration is using forceful tactics to negotiate deals all over the world. With there interest in crypto and stable coins, not necessarily a bad idea, I am suspicious of the methods and tactics used because of greed and corruption in existing economies.
