Nagas are mythical serpent creatures that originated in Hinduism. In Buddhist temples, the naga is a symbol of protector of the Buddha and of the dharma (the scripture teachings). At the entrance of all Buddhist temples in Thailand, you will find an incredible artwork of colorful and whimsical nagas, warding off evil spirits from these scared buildings.
