Good day, Hiveans! How was your July? I hope it ends well. I hope you’re also fine while reading my blog.
My husband and I got very interested in visiting the Little Batanes in our town. We’ve been living in our town for two decades. However, before our visit, we were not familiar with Little Batanes until the local tourism department of the municipality was very active in promoting the beautiful spots in our town.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, it was the boost of local tourism too. Since our travel was limited to just the neighboring places or towns we could only do road trips near the town.
We were eager to do a road trip and decided to visit the so-called “Little Batanes”. Our travel time was late afternoon since according to some data, the place is really good during sunset. This is our official road trip as a couple.
Despite having no idea about the place, we trust Google Maps to give us directions to the place. Unfortunately, it is not yet constant that we used the local version of finding a place and that was asking for directions to the people who live near the area.
As what the person who told us the directions, the entrance was beside the elementary school in the area. As we followed the directions, I was surprised that we needed to pass a barangay cemetery to reach the place.
The road is really good for the persons who own a motocross bike. My husband was happy about it too. Luckily, the weather was fine, and no rain before our visit since the place is not yet cement but soil.
To reach the top of the mountain, I need to walk first since the mountain is steep and it’s dangerous if I join my husband in driving the motor to the top of the mountain.
Since we didn’t have someone who would take pictures for us, we used the feature of the phone camera to have a countdown before capturing photos.
