Why I can't break this 62 Rep?
We all know, or at least we kinda know how this reputation algorithm works, is harder and harder overtime you level up. But I've been on 62 for so long I don't even remember when I left back lvl 61, but I can assure it was more than 4 months ago at least. I've been on steemit for a year and a month, and this was something that used to kill my sleep when I was rep 40 something, but finally I didn't care about it, until now.
But what is bothering me about this anyway? its not the reputation itself, I mean besides the Byteball Airdrop rewards its most that important, but it lead me to think about something related, an that's the manual curation, the organic votes, and the real people reading articles. This rep thing is bothering me a bit, but the fact that none of my latest posts receive a real comment about the post itself, with real people taking time to read, watch, or think about what you made is no longer a common thing to see. I don't even know if this is happening to everyone, but once you post something, you have like a couple of hours to reach some views or votes, and then it dies, it's sad but it is how it's working nowadays.
Most of the communities are failing to encourage the users to create and curate quality content, I don't know if its about the spam, or because no one can find something that fits to his interests, but seems like its dying as a social network, even if its not supposed to be one. Steemit is the social place with more potential in what I can see, and it's always stuck into something. I remember six months ago, ten months ago, people used to read more, there were more comments, more chats in the comment sections leading to some partnerships, nice discussions and even friendships, but nowadays it also seems to be missing in a big part.
As I always said, this is not a complain, this is not me trying to tell you that I'm not happy because no one is up voting, reading, or commenting on my posts, this is a simple thought about something great that is always about to became something more. I really trust in this platform and all the ones based on it, this is one of the bests technologies ever, and besides all the downs and fails, we all trust in steem, we all care about it, and we all hope the best, so please let me see that 63 lol.
