Transcodium is a ECR20 token, which run on the Ethereum blockchain, that will create the first peer-to-peer blockchain, decentralized media transcoding, editing and distribution platform. They will help creators transcode their media, at a much faster rate, without a high end computer. So they can distribute their media much faster than before, and faster watch the final media though for errors.
The transcoding process will be done in two main processes; Masternodes will crevice the request and then revice the files. They will then take the files and encrypt them and forward them to 'workers'. If necessary, the Masternodes will split larger files into chunks, so more 'workers' can work on the transcoding. Masternodes will also need to join the chunks back together.
A 'worker' is responsible for converting the file into the new format (the format is deiced by the creator).
Wokers are essential miners who will need to have high-end hardware to ensure fast transcoding.
Even though high-end hardware for workers is preferred, any device with and internet connection can be a worker. But as you may then can figure out, is that a worker with higher specs will earn more rewards than one with lower specs.
A masternode will need faster processing power and a strong internet connection. This is needed so the masternode can get the project from the creator FAST and scan it, maybe split it, and then distribute it to workers via fast upload speed. So there is a lot more required, in terms of raw power, of a masternode than a worker.
The team is consistet of developers, programmers, blockchain experts and marketing mangers. The good thing about this team, is that the they have worked with cloud transcoding and media editing platform. They started as "medianap" in 2015, but went out of business due to high cost of cloud servers and then they couldn't compete with the existing platforms. They hope to get around this problem by using the blockchain and decentralize the workload, with the masternodes and miners described above.
