When I became a member, I was advised not to "abuse the tag." That was the threshold I have tried to maintain. I do not post about PMs unless I think I have something worthwhile to the community. I never use the tag unless my post is about PMs. I think demanding I post about PMs just to maintain a minimum number is going to inspire crap posts about PMs, but that is just my opinion.
If people are using the tag for non-PM posts, those people should be warned, then culled, IMO. That is about the only reason I see as justified. There are people who are interested in PMs but cannot afford to invest, we are a global community. Rather than cull people, perhaps require participation in a curation trail? Then they are giving back to the community as automatically as they receive. If that were done, then we would have no need of a cooling off period or a 1% autovote from ssg.
There is my two cents worth. Zinc, not even copper any more...
