So the falun gong started out as a spiritual group of people doing 5 basic exercises. After their leader published a best selling book the ccp disagreed with, The ccp started to denounce his book to seek to destroy the falun gong movement. Sounds somewhat similar to what the chinese owned mediais doing to conservatives. Not being able to combat reason, The Chinese in the 90s later declared them a religion, a threat, and started imprisoning them and harvesting their organs-the fortunate ones including their leader fled.
When msnbc discovered or at least claimed the epoch times-which is trump friendly-was being funded by the fulan gong. You know, people who likely acquired American citizenship as actual political asylum seekers, msnbc treats the epoch times and the Falun Gong as the bad guys. MSNBC and the outlets like salon that regurgitated their crap are repeating these cpp tactics prior to the mass incarceration and organ harvesting efforts of the cpp.
Reportedly in 2004 the falun gong excouraged people to quit the Chinese communist party. Apparently hoping the world would respond to the human rights abuses in china, they preached that dropping out of the cpp would spare them. Up to 130 million people quit the party, but perhaps as daoist ancestor worship many were already dead.
