Earlier today, I made this wildlife drawing of a polar bear and her cub between her two legs. Polar bears are found in extremely cold regions and are notable for their white to off-white furs. The young bear takes cover from the cold and predators by staying very close to the mother and this drawing shows a scene depicting that.
I made this drawing using a black ball point pen and pelican paper.
Here are the steps involved;
First, I drew the outline of the cub in between the mother's limbs and also a plant close to them. I added all their essential features in this stage.
Next, I began adding fur details to both of them starting with the mother.
Finally, I shaded and added fur details to the cub's skin until I got a satisfactory result.
