To begin my day, I made this wildlife drawing of a Woodpecker. This bird is a member of a family are infamous for their behaviour of searching for insects on trees. They mostly communicate by drumming their beak with a part of tge tree and producing a reverberatory sound that can be heard from afar. They vary in colours but have unique physical feature such as their beak and shape of head.
I used a black ball point pen and pelican paper for this drawing.
Here are the steps involved;
Firstly, I drew the outline of the woodpecker and added all its facial features. I also drew the pattern of its feather in this stage.
Next, I began shading and adding details to its face and feather.
I kept adding details of feather to its skin until I got a satisfactory result.
