Hello Hivians. I hope you're all having a wonderful day.
My good friend, abdex9@abdex9 challenged me to draw the face of an olive baboon he captured with his phone the last time he visited a zoo. He seems to enjoy giving me challenges when he thinks I'm gonna find it really difficult to make the drawing of a particular subject. Well, I see them as a chance to improve myself and get better at the use of my tools.

The olive baboon are found mostly in Africa and on the scale of extinction, are categorized as least concerned. They are very social primates with tge females dominating and controlling the affairs. The male babbons mostly baby sit and care for the young while the female search and hunt for food.
They are omivores but feed mostly on fruits, vegetables and nuts.

I made this drawing with a black ball point pen and pelican paper.
Here are the steps involved;

I began by drawing the outline of the baboon's face and added all its facial features.

Next, I began shading all the dark areas of uts face and added began to draw details of hair around its face.

I continued shading and adding details to the face until I got an appealing look.

Thank you for reading and viewing my drawing. Have a wonderful day!!!.
